The International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo is the highlight of a lineman’s year. It began twenty years ago in Manhattan, Kansas, with twelve journeymen teams competing and has grown to 783 journeymen and 261 apprentices from 115 companies last year.
The purpose of the Rodeo is to highlight safety and safe work practices among linemen and the companies they represent. It’s also a great way to share new ideas, products, and reinforce new safety regulations.
One of the benefits of the International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo is that Showing the public the incredible feats of bravery and skill demonstrated by the linemen each day helps them to understand the human cost behind their power usage.
We’re looking forward to the 20th Annual International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo in October.
